If you travel US 41 south of L’Anse you come upon the 15 foot Canyon waterfalls and gorge on the Sturgeon River. This is an awesomely picturesque area especially in the fall. As the river twists and forms deep gorges into the rock face it provides some awesome scenery. The many rapids and small falls gives so many photo opportunities, and gives the imagination wild array of possibilities.
